I work with a variety of media to include, varnishes, plaster, cloth, copper wire and pipe, and other added materials such as clothing, shoes and candles. I also include hand and face impressions and partial body casts. These sensitive pieces are thought provoking and possibly misleading but they are playing a role to essentially heighten the viewer’s senses, and therefore allowing the viewer to totally throw themselves into, and possibly indulge themselves into a world of thought provoking sensuality.

My main body of work stems from a childhood love of homemade chocolate cake that has stayed with me into adulthood. This cake is inspirational as I conjure up images, tastes and feelings. The Theatre also has a part to play in my work as the elegant surroundings conjure up visions of days gone by.

By allowing ones self to submerge and wallow in the subtle dark depths of the pleasures that are aroused while allowing yourself to indulge, are my tools from which I create lavish, self indulgent pieces. These are represented in the forms of wall hung relief canvases, sculpture and sculptural hangings.

My intentions are to create luscious, sensuous, pleasurable eloquent feasts. The ambiance I wish to create is as elaborate, dramatic and as theatrical as the artwork itself. I want my paintings to express who I am, and what I am about and by allowing myself to be creative and not hold back I believe I can.

Allow yourself the time to devour my intimate, elaborate visually stimulating pieces of work.
